SSEDIC takes part of the future eID discussions in ICT 2013 Conference, Vilnius

ICT2013SSEDIC team will participate in the joint networking session of STORK 2.0, FutureID and SSEDIC discussing the “Digital Agenda for Europe – The role of trustworthy and interoperable electronic Identification” during the major ICT 2013 conference in Vilnius, November 6-8, 2013.
This session shall motivate discussion and widen the circle of stakeholders dealing with interoperable, cross-border use of eIDs, creating awareness on what has already been achieved and on new opportunities this key-enabling technology brings in a wide variety of application fields. Come and discuss with us the future European eID infrastructure as well as the final SSEDIC eID roadmap to the Room H1D on 08/11/2013 (09:00-09:45).

 

 

CIP projects: successful end of EPIC

logo_epicThe EPIC project was successfully completed and the results were officially approved by the EC. EPIC offers cities a complete set of tools to start their ‘Smart City’ journey.The unique combination of technology, approach and insights has been designed to provide a ‘Smart City in a Box’ offering: A comprehensive solution for smaller cities wishing to implement smarter services for their community. EPIC’s unique solution contains three complimentary elements for your city to use:
(1) Smart City Roadmap – A document telling you how, where, when, and why to get started on your Smart City journey
(2) EPIC Platform – A technology suite which allows you to design, host and use Smart city services
(3) A set of existing ‘plug and play’ services for your city

CIP projects:  negotiation of newcomers ECIM and OTN

IS-practice is currently involved in the negotiation process of the two new CIP projects: ECIM and OTN. Both projects are expected to be launched within few months and will run for 30 (ECIM) and 36 (OTN) months.
ECIM_logo_v1.0European Cloud Marketplace for Intelligent Mobility (ECIM) will develop a state-of-the-art solution that combines the strong cloud capabilities of an existing EPIC cloud-based platform with new functionalities that facilitate the easy migration of existing city services. It will bring multiple city mobility services in several major European cities to the cloud (e.g. on-street and off-street parking, POIs etc.), integrate payment solutions and combine these to deliver unique user experience.

OpenTransportNet (OTN) will focus on making Geographic Information Data more accessible and useable for business innovators and public sector stakeholders alike. It will do so by creating collaborative virtual service hubs that aggregate, harmonise and visualise open transport-related data from a wide variety of sources to drive the rapid creation of innovative new applications and services.
